On Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 8/9/10 September gravel cleaning will take place at North End Farm Ibsley. This work will improve the river for both Salmon and coarse fish.

Help is required to remove weed set free by the gravel cleaning machine. 2 volunteers will be required while the machine is working.

I would like to organise a rota of 2 people for the morning and afternoon on each day.

Work Party on Washpit and White lake 19th July

Hi All
Just to let you know and also a plea for any volunteers there is a work party planned on the spit and back bay on the wash pit and also from gate to works on white lake on Sunday 19th July 10.30am - till its finished.

Sections of both lakes will be closed off to members for that day to enable essential work to be carried out signs will be in place a week before to inform those that don't have Internet access.

2 evening's have been arranged to remove this plant from our banks of the Avon before too much damage is done. Some of you will know that this is not the most interesting ways to spend a summer's evening but it is very important that we try and keep on top of this nuisance plant.
The first is on July 13th, meet in Lifelands lay-by (A31 Ringwood roundabout) from 5 PM.
The second is on July the 14th, meet in Severals top car park (Matchams lane) from 5 PM.

hi all vic and myself have just been out in the boat around caravan and caravan side of the island. and pulled in a ton of braid and mono from snags that you could not imagine.
on sunday 8th march from 10am till 3pm there will be a MAJOR LITTER PICK from gate to caravan. we will also be closing rat alley and the swims on rat alley side of the spit to rake for snags

Over the next few months and as its quieter on the lakes work will need to be done on Northfield Main ,Washpit ,Hightown and a view to doing work on some of the other venues.
I am asking for anyone that is willing to lend a hand in getting this essentual work done most of which is new swim fronts and swim repairs along with the island on the washpit getting a serious haircut. I am looking at getting a few hands together this coming saturday morning at 9am at Brownseys, Fordingbridge.
The stretch is only short, 4 swims in total but has become a little overgrown during the past 12 months. There is probably enough work for 4 people for 2 hours.
Please, you regulars who have been coming along on tuesday evenings, dont feel obliged to come along again. Like I say not a monstrous amount to do.

Tuesday June 3rd, 6pm, top car park (matchams lane)
Plan is to split in 2 groups, one staying at the top, the other to drive to bottom car park (Hampshire hatches lane)
Will all meet up at the top end to assess numbers. Could do with a strimmer and chain saw at either end, plus hand tools.
