Spinning On The Royalty

I noticed that day ticket holders are allowed to spin on the Royalty from October 1st, but that it says in the club book no spinning until October 31st. Is there a reason for the difference, or can RDAA members spin from the start of October?

Just tried to access the main site on my way to this one and got a message from Redstart to say that the site was suspended. Not sure if this is an issue my end but suspect not. Will try again tomorrow afternoon and advise if I have heard nothing else.

Why so many members feel the need to then highjack the thread BEFORE any committee members have replied I have no idea. BLACK DAY AT THROOP

Today for me was a black day,after a phone call saying that there was two undesirable characters fishing on the concrete triangle on beat 2 just down from the weir,i met up with Chris Allport and we checked out these two people,they were in fact Russian,and they had not only a rod licence but two day tickets that the had purchased from BFL,on the concrete lay a small perch which was still alive which i replaced in the water,they then lost a small pike and a perch.Chris and i saw that they had...

'Work' at North End Farm

Can the Committee comment on the 'work' carried out at this fishery which has seen considerable destruction of bankside habitat and cover?

This used to be one of the more picturesque stretches of the middle Avon but now looks more like a building site that has been cleared but no work undertaken.

Longham waterworks (no fishing signs)

Last year i brought to the committees notice that access was restricted above the weirs at Longham... Breadflake posted this quote on the Longham thread in venues.
......"Although closed currently, there was some conflicting reports last season about access to the upstream end.
I can confirm that the water as detailed in the permit book is ALL available for fishing, in season."

Lower Stour And Christchurch Harbour

I have just looked at the Royalty Fishery website, and if I read it correctly, the RDAA are to get the rights fish the Lower Stour and Christchurch Harbour in the new year. Can the comittee confirm this - sounds like great news.

Hello everyone! There is nothing worse than paying 6 quid for a spod/marker float, cracking off, then watching it float off or seeing it stuck in an unreachable tree! Im sure im not the only one who gets frustrated by this. Then to make it worse, certain bailiffs practicly brag about how they have never payed for a spod/marker float and they have sacks of them which they have aquired from going out...

disabled swims

i was told that there was going to be signs put in the swims which are the disabled swims as in the summer holidays as you know it gets rather busy on the lakes and my mate has ask me to find out when the signs will be going up ?

Having fished the last couple of weekends you couldn't help noticing how crowded the lakes are getting, does the committee think it's time to think about limiting membership numbers,or trying to get another big lake ?. PS not just the committee what does everyone else think?.

Guest tickets during closed season

During closed season guest tickets are unavailable on our larger lakes is this to make it less crowded??Or to let existing members have more chance to fish popular swims?? If this is the case why are tickets still being sold on smaller venues sopley parley and cranborne from my experience these venues are just as difficult to find swims on during closed season!!

Bivvy City at Wash Pit

Hi,

Rejoined RDAA recently and I've been down to the Washpit a few times for some pleasure fishing. However, on Saturday I went down and it looked more like a festival than a nice place to fish - virtually every peg had a Bivvy in it! Is there any chance we can ban Bivvies from the Washpit - its not meant to be a specimen lake is it? I also had to clear up a shed load of 20lb line + braid with hooks attached in my swim....bloody disgraceful. This water just doesn't need...

Main Lake "white Lake" parking

In the club book it says parking in marked parking area's only and something around not parking in the roads on the White Lake page.
Yet for as long as I can remember people have always parked along that road next to the lake.(Next to Rat Alley is it?)
I can't see any harm in parking there but just wanted clarification.

Is parking along the road allowed or not?

If i want to add a night permit or 3rd rod, can i just pop into ringwood tackle and get it upgraded? Im just thinking that the bit where they need to write the ammendment has had that laminated sheet put on it.

Hi all,
I am going to re-join RDAA (used to be a member for a couple of years until recently) & wondered if i can re-join at one of my local tackle shops (ringwood angling or Bournemouth fishing lodge) - can i turn up at the tackle shop with a full payment in cash & a couple of passport pics and join immediately?
It will save having to post all the paperwork & wait for the cheque to clear etc etc...
Also - do i still have to wait for any paperwork to come through...
